Make special plans to go wine tasting in Portland this coming weekend, August 16-17. Why? It’s our quarterly Portland Urban Wine Weekend, of course.
That means PDX Urban Wineries members will be open and offering special things to try. Jan Marc Cellars on Ainsworth in N. Portland will be opening the garage door for a special Saturday only event, pouring four whites and two reds, including the new release 2012 Bastard Red. 2110 N Ainsworth Street.
Over at the SE Wine Collective off SE Division and 35th Place, the tasting bar will feature a special $10 flight of member wineries Division Winemaking Company, Fullerton Wines and Helioterra Wines, and the 2013 Melon de Bourgogne from Collective alum Bow & Arrow. 2425 SE 35th Place.

Hip Chicks do Wine are throwing a huge blow out for Urban Wine Weekend on Saturday, August 16, 4-8pm, celebrating their 15th anniversary as a winery, all of those years in Portland. These women established the modern age of PDX urban winemaking and are a driving force behind PDX Urban Wineries the organization. 4510 SE 23rd Avenue. Advance tickets here.
Newest member Fausse Piste will be open 1-6pm Saturday and Sunday, August 16-17, for the only time before November. 537 SE Ash Street.
